Over the past several years our
production of the R/T Rumble has not been quite as regular,
informative, or entertaining as we would have liked. Our
Rumble has retained its black & white, newsletter-like appearance
for the past 5 years and the DRTC has always been limited by cost
and restricted to this format for both our articles and pictures.
Because of these constraints, and also because of the way
technology has evolved, the DRTC Executive Board has decided to go
to a "paperless" Rumble, i.e., an online Rumble that each member
can download, read, and print, if desired, directly from the DRTC
website. By making each future issue of the Rumble available
as a download we would nullify all of the problems that have
plagued the Rumble in the past. We would be able to have
more pages, more detailed articles, color photos and diagrams, and
there would be NO postage and NO printing charges.
But, the Executive
Board realizes that by having the Rumble only available as a
download, it is possible that not every DRTC member has internet
access. Because of this potential problem, we have taken
several steps to assure that all DRTC members can get to read each
new Rumble. We have already posted notices on the DRTC
Members List and various chapter lists, and have also sent out
paper notices to members which do not have valid e-mail addresses
on file. If there are any DRTC members who know of another
member who might fit into the "No Internet Access" category,
please e-mail either John
Higgins or Jim Neel so
we can ensure that all DRTC Members have access to the R/T Rumble.
The R/T Rumble is published in .pdf format which can be read by
the free
Adobe Acrobat Reader software package. To download the
R/T Rumble, please right-click on the link below (mac users click
