I just prototyped a pair of solid engine mounts for the 5.2/5.9 97-03 Dakota. Have to get them to the powder coater and get the mounting hardware together before I put them on my website.
any chance of them have poly inserted bushings? this had to be the biggest complaint ive heard of but i havent had enough seat time to agree

Well these be the same thing as some of us running the Torque Strap tightened all the time? Or would the the others with bushings be best?
While the engine torque strap is a definite improvement http://www.dakotart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9238 , a solid mount is going to be just that—rock solid. People on the track or hardcore street guys would likely utilize it. For those spending most of their time on the street, but also on the track, I would go with the poly mount http://www.dakotart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23041 .Well these be the same thing as some of us running the Torque Strap tightened all the time? Yeah, the rust patina seems to be somewhat polular with the cultured crowd with too much money. lol I'm sure they pay extra for rust where we get it on our trucks for free.I just don't drive it enough to justify PC, and rust? That's a just color here...I actually just paid a gate company to create a rust finish.
Awesome work as usual.
I'll be hitting you up for a set mid next year.
Were these easier to weld than the Others with the inserts? Looks like they probably were.

Hot rodder rule of thumb....every $1 invested in head flow is roughly worth $3 in the short block
Thanks Ken! They were a little easier but not much. lol It will probably get a little easier as I get used to doing them. I did load up on a variety of Tig nozzles...and gas lenses, in order to figure out the best way to weld them.Awesome work as usual.

Price point on these vs the poly ones?
