    Question Trans cooler, what BTU?

How large of a BTU rating is sufficient for a trans cooler? I'll be running a 3200 stall MSaine billet convertor. Is something like this enough? I like the LPD idea on these(low pressure drop when cold)

Do you run a bypass for cold temps? I don't drive my r/t in the winter. But, early spring, late fall temps are in the 30's in the mornings. Thanks!

I hope you got on w/large enough supply lines. From my reading this morning, they say not to use a trans cooler for engine oil. The supply lines aren't large enough diameter for heavy engine oil.

Ah...OK. Just putting the thought out there. We put too much money into these rides to have an issue like that kill an engine.

On the topic of trans cooler. I just realized I don't have an external cooler on my 99. Anyone else notice that about your r/t? Mine started life as a Canadian from the Ontario area. Do you suppose they didn't option it with one because it was going to a colder climate?

Just depends on its options, the HD service group got them a larger alternator, PS oil cooler and other things.

Mine doesn't have an external cooler either, Pat. Ditto on the out of Canada thing.

    Yep...

The heavy duty service package option started in 2000 IIRC.
