Default Head Porting Pushrod Pinch-Point Measuring Tool

I haven’t been able to locate a tool for accurately and easily gauging the thickness of the pushrod pinch area of the intake port. In order to accurately know the thickness of the intake port at the pushrod pinch-point, I modified a 4” caliper so I can immediately see the thickness between the two areas. This should help prevent from accidentally grinding through the port wall into the pushrod channel. Measurements can be taken from the top of the port to the bottom. It’s a big help. I may try to make it so the caliper fingers clamp on instead of being welded.

Thanks! It also fits a big block Chevy head too (not that any of us would even consider a Chevy lol).

That's nice! can I borrow it?

I've noticed on the stock heads that the pushrod hole isn't "square" so while I've tried to use some type of a 'feeler' to gauge the metal thickness there, I don't feel like I'm getting a good reading.

EDIT: oops....meant to post this in the other thread!
