Driving myself a bit crazy, digging up old threads. I see you've sold a fair share of your supply with these valves Dave...Maybe you could help me out though with some dimensions? I'm doing my best to cross reference the original Mopar Performance versions to Manley. I'm finding one's that look very close, but taking into account many things one dimension being "tip length" vs. overall length.

Thanks again Dave for offering what you have on hand. I think I may have finally found valves, at least they look pretty darn good on paper.
Might even offer a slight benefit for higher lift cams with a ~0.100" increase in OAL's (as long as the tip lengths are comparable to Mopar's).

If these guys have our Mopar parts, I have found them to be less money for the same thing Summit has. In this case you're looking at Chivy parts and they of course have anything you want. I used them for my build.

And, I agree that a longer valve will be better. I have hunted high/low for valve springs with a higher seat pressure. But, everything is for taller installed height. I think I will eventually need to pull the heads to install longer valves.

Agreed, yeah after doing research I saw leaning on the longer side could be beneficial. Cant really cut the spring pockets on these heads...also helps if shimming is needed too im sure. Thanks for that link too, although i already placed my summit order, didnt want to delay any further.

Longer valves are good...Or this might happen, I was shocked when I saw this, truck ran great, only took it apart to go to a 408.

I'm really impressed with with the amount of man hours you have put into cast heads. aluminium would have saved a bunch of time, i can't wait to see the flow numbers

So guys I need your help/advice. So I got the valves to my machinist, and he tells me the valves won't work because theyre .100" too long. Says my spring pressures will be off. I already figured that would be the case, already knew this. However shouldnt he be able to simply install spring shims to make up the difference and achieve required spring pressures?
When I asked this, he stated it he couldnt shim these springs??? Should i be concerned?

The amount of shimming req'd for the longer valves with these springs could cause the spring to sit flush or above its pocket. He found stock length 1pc SS valves that should fit from a company SI valves.
Springs Im using are what came with the R/T heads, so likely 1.6" ish install height.

Right, the ~1.64 install height of your springs aren't going to work with +.100 valves. I have a handle on these valves as well. I see them at the PRI show each year. Just curious what the ID of your pushrod tunnel sleeves are, your cam lift, and if you had a chance to check your pushrod clearance through the range of lift for possible interference within the sleeve?
In an effort to increase the CSA (cross sectional area) of my intake port at the pushrod pinch area, without messing around with offset rockers, I am thinking of machining aluminum sleeves for my pushrod tunnels, which should allow for another ~.040 or so increase to the width of the CSA.

Pulled the driver's side head off for inspection and to take some measurements...got some carbon buildup in there but nothing too crazy for ~135k. I blame the stocker barrel intake belly pan gasket
