I'm in Albuquerque, NM....Looks like I'm about 200 feet higher.

DA is usually around 7000+, on a good day it's 4500.

    Sucks...

Elevation is 5400, but the DA is usuall 2000' higher.

    Cough, choke, wheeze....sputter.....

First time I went to the track I looked at my times and thought "I suck"... But I was spanking everything in sight.

    13.6 here is fast....Stock R/T's run 17's.

Spent a few years in C Sorings at that small, militarized technical school at the base of the mountains, visible from I-25

My Cuda was my 'daily' driver back then. (we could only leave on evenings after class and on weekends as seniors. It spent most of the time M-F parked in the cadet parking lot)

At bandimere in Denver, on a hot summer day, I ran 18.5s with that big block.
Stock stupid low compression 383 2bbl motor, stock converter, 727, and 2.76 gears in the 8.75 axle.

Yeah watching Hellcats with DRs struggle to run 12 flat is quite unimpressive.

I plan to hit up High Plains Raceway once the BMW is out here, http://highplainsraceway.com/. Their open lap days are extremely affordable compared to most. And BMW is still paying for pads and rotors on my car so might as well take advantage.

Isn't the DA at Bandimere usually 9000'+?

Usually? No, but it will frequently jump that high.

Usually is probably more in the 7500 to 8500 range. Good air by their standards is when it gets under 7000.

Haha that might as well be splitting hairs. I think the highest DA I've run locally was 5600. It was 110* and extremely humid.

Ha, true! But you see the likes of Adobe Dave, they have to split hairs up here. Personal bests come .001 second at a time, so couple hundred feet in DA is big news.

I had no idea you were in NM this whole time Dave.

This thread makes me jealous. I would trade slower times for legalized... Nature... Texas is boring, CO/NM is so much more beautiful, and not to mention the great beers.
