    Default snap-on MT2500 on 2002

I have the cartridge for chrysler up to the year 2000. Can I set the IAC steps on a 2002 R/T? A local guy needs help.

The 01 and 02 are pretty similar, right? The 03 is the oddball?

I'm tring to use it to set the idle steps on Jack William's 02 R/T, he is 1.5 hours away from me, so I don't want to drive up there for nothing.

Also if anyone has any info on setting the IAC steps / butterfly position that would be great. I've never done it before. It's easy in MS, lol. Idle rpm= w/e I type in.

Mine is only good thru '99 and has worked on newer models, but the only way to tell for sure is to try.

We're going to give it a shot.

The other day I used it on a 2003 llumina, and some of the parameters were definitely wrong. Fuel trims at 180% and such, lol.

Fwiw When I used my buddies he had the cartridge for my year. We started with the 13 key but asked us to switch to a 13a key. He had the 13a key and it worked.

I can't even find the primary cartridge PN for anything past 2001. If I could find a newer one I'd buy it just to have. I think I have both 13 and 13a keys, I'll go check.

Don't have 13a, that one must come with a newer cartridge. I played around with lying about the model year on our mopar used car lot outside. Sometimes the IAC steps made sense, sometimes not. Generic ODBII data does not show IAC steps.

Tell your buddy to send his cartridge and keys to Jack and I'll bring my brick up there.

Did Jack get the idle speed changed in his tune first?

I think it's pretty high in the tune, but in drive it sags all the way down to 500rpm. We think the IAC is running out of authority because the blades aren't open enough. I suppose it is also possible it doesn't have enough timing at idle, so it doesn't make enough torque to hold against his mouse's asshole tight torque converter.

The real problem might just be the combination of a converter designed for 600rpm idle, and that cam. He should get a more reasonably stalled converter to suit the cam. But it did get worse when he changed TBs, so I'm sure some adjustment will help. It's going to creep off the brakes like a bitch though.

Yeah, his truck is fun to drive for sure. Kept trying to get him to spring for the MP converter even.
