Otherwise I have no concerns taking it on the road.
Part of the reason for the mileage I am getting, is from still running the OE 3.55's. I have been working on the wife to go along with the purchase of a Gear Vendors overdrive unit to be able to split some gears and have a double overdrive like most modern transmissions. Then I could install the 4.10's I have been sitting on.
I actually carry a spare cam sensor in my ’96 as it is the one thing other than coil that has ever let me down while out on the road. The cam sensors have never let me down.
It’s like the crank sensor is the modern version of a balast resistor...

Not a bad tire for the price, and they are now less than $90.00 each, with free shipping from Ebay.

Well, it's not what I did to IT today.. but more of what I have ordered in the last few weeks?

Paid for the 408 Stealth from PIE and went with a few optional parts:
    - camshaft 236 / 242 .565 / .565 110
    - Indy intake drilled for EFI and PIE's adapter for the fuel hookup
    - Larger throttle body
    - Little CNC work on the heads
    - Upgraded ignition and coil parts

    Ordered:
    -Spintech mids from Hi-PoTek
    -Vacuum Canister from Summit
    -DJM Shocks from Summit
-Traction bars from Summit (Torn as to the benefit gained from a ladder bar system or from caltracs - not sure what is best and these were el-cheapo)

Could you clarify? Did you intend to say you carry a spare crank sensor?

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
No I DO carry an extra one!

Once the Mopar not made in china ones were’nt available any more, the reliability of the after market ones have been less than stellar...

The last one I bought from Wells has been pretty solid thus far,but I still keep one and the allen socket setup and cheap ratchet in the console just for piece of mind.

If you need an oil pan and pickup, might want to order those sooner than later. Spent 3 months waiting on a pickup from milodon... then finally just made it myself out of two factory units.

Put the tailgate back on, it does two things, adds weight over the rear suspension, makes for better aerodynamics when up.

For a few months i have some troubles with my optima battery today i bought a ac delco 27a . my optima only had 300 cranking power but no voltage loss but i had check engine light for a few months . the moment i drive away from the battery shop and stop for a stoplight my truck dies and i need to start it again everytime and blip the throttle . i think the pcm needs to relearn . but the check engine light is gone now but then again my radio still doesn' t work i tought it was my optima battery but the voltage is good . i also put in a new rectifier in my alternator a few months ago . chasing electrical things can be hard sometimes

Yea, I'm not sure how great of a deal that is. I don't think I can replace it for that. I didn't build the truck but, it has a lot of expensive mods and is still fairly low mileage. There is a red one an hour or so away that's supercharged too but, that seems too be the extent of his engine mods and he has it listed on CL for $13,500. Mine has an M1, F&B TB, cam, head work, tune... I told him I would consider it.

Bought a new Extang snap on bed cover off eBay. They had 15% off all sales the other day. I wanted one that rolled up since I put bikes in the bed sometimes. Installation was easy. I haven't had one of these in 40 years! Back then they drilled holes in the box and riveted snaps on. Here in Michigan the aluminum rivets turned to dust after a few years of salty winter roads I put the cover out in the sun for awhile figuring it would stretch a little easier snapping it up. I got all but the two corner snaps buttoned up. Looks like I'll have to make an adjustment or wait for another hot sunny day and try again. White truck, black cover I think it looks good.
