So I'm rebuilding a 5.9 motor out of a durango. I didnt remove the piston crank cam or any mains. Only removed intake heads and oil pan.
I have the timing set on and lapped the valves cleaned the heads and connecting rods. When I put the re assembled head on along with the rocker arms and pushrods the motor will turn over until it hits one spot and stops dead in it's tracks. If I loosen the rocker arms to release all the tension it gets easier.
