I have been to Richard's and also been for a ride in his truck. In one word, AWESOME!!!!!!
The man is an excellent fabricator, does perfect work, and is a true all around great guy. The truck runs unbelievable and is extremely streetable with this setup. It would be nice if someday he could make a few more of these, as they would sell like hot cakes.

The most awesome thread EVER!
WOW! Richard you out did yourself on this man good job awesome job. Now will this only be for the 408 or also for the 360?
all i can say is WOW!
Thanks Richard! your work absolutely rocks! Have you tried taking a stock tb and making it a large 1bbl?
i'm playing with that idea now.

Thanks Tom! Yes I’ve considered a single barrel OEM conversion but have really wanted to do a conversion linkage for a 4-bbl TB utilizing the stock cables. Just haven’t gotten around to it yet.all i can say is WOW!

Richard I just read this thread and I will join everyone in saying WOW you do some awesome work. I love it and might have to talk to you about doing something for me and my 408 engine I am building. It is going into a Jeep Wrangler so my needs are a little different than the drag race/street guys. I'll have to call you and discuss this. I need some advice on a cam too for my engine.
Rick
It’s been about 8 years since I initially finished this project. I have since set up an E85 fuel system for the intake which I hope to have running again sooner than later. The stainless-steel hard line also creates a more compact setup than braided hose. I anodized the fuel rails red. Switched cams from a 220/230 108lsa to a 236/242/106lsa. Also opened up the head ports a little more.
That is a work of art! How are you tuning Richard?

As far as tuning goes, I’m not sure yet. I considered learning SCT myself just for myself, but at the beginning of the year SCT became high and mighty and won’t sell to me unless I pay full price or begin dyno tuning for the masses.
I still have the SCT tune I bought from KRC back in 2007 but the unlimited tunes expired when they went out of business. I still have some glitches from the early release of that setup. Prior to that I had a B&G tune which totally sucked with terrible customer service. All said and done I’ve got close to $2000 in prior tunes and a new PCM, but due to the circumstances, I’ve got what basically amounts to a canned tune. I’m not sure I want to throw any more money at SCT.
So, I’ve considered some type of stand alone but am not sure yet what I will do.
Check out the new FuelTech FT450, I'm problaby going to go with it instead of Megasquirt

Rev limiter? that's what valve springs are for!
Boy, I hear you about throwing money at SCT tunes. I'm in for about a grand after using two different tuners.

A beautiful piece!
Any idea how much you have in it, time/money? Only curious, no criticism, I am impressed with the work. Old tech + newer tech =
