    Default 425 update now w/ VIDEO! :)

Fuel system is almost done, just have to run the nitrous feed and return line. Then steam clean the bedrug, put it back in and do the final mount of the fuel cell. My brake booster is done, I'll pick that up tomorrow and get it installed this weekend. Then just finish up some little stuff like mounting the pcm and ignition and put the front end back together. She's almost there!

Oh, and for anyone wanting to do a full return fuel system, I highly recommend Russell ProClassic hoses, they're so much easier to work with than the braided stainless, and they're lighter. Lil more expensive tho, but worth it, imo.

The catch can will eventually be replaced with a nicer piece, and I'm going to make a better mount for this one.

Looking damn nice Dave. If I had thought about it, I would've included a bottle of Flame Red (PR4 I believe) touch up paint with that pulley. Oh well, buy something else and I'll be sure to include it...LOL.

Thanks! I'm really happy with how it's turning out. Well, except for the catch can, that's really starting to bug me now, need to find a nice polished one.

No worries, next winter I'm going to get all of the pulleys powdercoated (along with everything else).

    Lookin nice Dave!!

    Very Perty!!

I just hope mine looks 1/2 that nice when I finally get it together.

I've always like the suddle Black / Silver theme.

As for the catch can. It looks good. Maybe find a lower place to mount it but other than that I'd keep it.

Thanks Kenny. It'll look even better when I get everything powdercoated next winter. Polishing all that stuff is gonna get old real quick LOL

I'll have full details on it, with install pics, once it's done. It's a Hydratech hydroboost unit. They don't make one for a Dakota, so I'm using a kit for a C3 vette, and had a machine shop make a new piece so it can connect to the brake pedal. It's a really nice setup.

looking good. Why did you decide to use a catch can and not the exhaust?

I may have to try those hoses in the engine bay to make tight turns.

All I can say is this truck is "Show n Go" all in one package. Nice job man I am waiting for some videos of this beast running. Plus some rear tire abuse would be nice.

I call dibs to be the first to run up against you Dave. You pick the track and the date and I'll be there.

EDIT: How much of a handicap will I be getting?

Thanks. Had I thought about it, I probably would have had the guy who built my headers install evac tubes, but I didn't, so I went with the catch can.

Thanks! There will be lots of videos once it's running, the camera is charged and waiting. I'll have vids of the dyno tuning, track vids, and of course destroying the tires (they're a few years old now, it's a safety hazard, need to burn 'em and get new ones LOL).

Sure thing! On the motor, I'll give you the hit. On the bottle, the hit and I'll count to three hehe

Maybe one of these days, but I don't want to have to put in a cutoff switch. Plus the extra cable adds weight. I can run my odyssey battery up front and lose 30lbs.

You got a deal but with you on motor let's run em heads up. I'll probly have about 100 more hp than you with that run but I'm a CC so it should be close. We'll work it all out when the time comes. We still got tuning and a few practice runs ahead of us at least down the 1/8th.

Why cant you just put the evac tubes right after the collectors? Thats what I plan to do...

Sounds like a plan Yeah, I'll definitely be doing some tuning at Natural Bridge (1/8th mile).

I just don't feel like messing with it now, I'm sure it'll be fine with the catch can.

Im sure it will, not trying to give you a hard time. Do you think I will have a problem with it after the collector?

I wouldn't think so, but I'd put it close to the collector. Also make sure it's at the right angle, 45* I think? Not sure on that. The biggest thing from what I've heard with the header evac setup is that you can't have any restrictions at all in your exhaust, mufflers have to be straight thru, if there's any backpressure it'll get screwed up.
