I tried but it says "The file could not be found. Please check the download link." Anyways I have the service manual for a 2000, however I own a 1999. Does anyone know if there are any real differences between a 00 and a 99 that I should take note of? Also someone on this forum had posted the service manuals for 2000-2003 I think, do a search for haynes and it will be the last one the search finds. EDIT. my bad it does work. My internet here at work bloked the site so I tried it remotely through my server however I screwed up the address.

Anyone see an fsm for a 99 dakota? I looked on that site, it showed "99 dakota fsm free" but I went through 16 pgs and nothing. Looked on a couple of other sites too. Thanks

Was there that big of a difference between the 99 and 2k? I assume most of the drivetrain and suspension is pretty much the exact same. With the exception of cosmetics. I would think the 2k version is sufficent to fix issues. But thats just my guess.

Don't need to know anything right now. It's just weird for me to have three different service manuals on my computer, but none of them are for my actual year. Just something that is nice to have....

    they're always on ebay. $15-$50.

get the one that says "four wheel drive/ two wheel drive" on the cover. the others are all suppliments, airbags, chime & buzzer, etc...

i've been using a freebie for a few years now too, it's for a 2000. most everything is the same... things that arent, don't usually apply to my truck anyways. i think if i ever took my truck in for maintenance the tech would scratch his head, and hand me back my keys, lol.

I used to have a '99 one, but don't know what happened to my disk. Buy one off Ebay, they are well worth the price.

No, your right, no big differences but as Sunike32 said, it's just nice to have. My main thing where I may need help to solve problems is electrical and some of the odd issues these trucks sometimes have. It's just hard to remember everything.

A long time ago someone on the internets casually offered me the 2002 factory service manual, and I accepted it without having a clue how essential the thing would end up becoming. It is 65MB so do you have an FTP server or something I could upload it to? I'm going to check and see what options I have.

EDIT: I was hoping Carbonite would allow me to share the file, but it doesn't, and I was hoping my Comcast account would allow me to FTP the file into the 1gb of online storage they provide but files are limited to 8mb in size.

Comcast provides a FTP server, but they want it to be difficult to use so I was limited to a maximum file size of 8mb. Yea Comcast! Bringing back those 1990s! You'll need to download the following 10 files: one is a simple, stand-alone app I got off CNet and the others are the PDF fragments.

Splitter.exe: Use this to stitch all of the pieces back together

PDF Pieces 001-009: These are the 9 fragments of the file.

    Hi,

I would like to purchase a manual set for 1998. A download would be great - either way.
