Thread: Injector size for 325-340 rwhp

Default Injector size for 325-340 rwhp

Does this sound right? 375 crank HP, (325 rwhp, ya probably more like 65 hp loss), BSFC .50, duty cycle .80, fuel pressure 43-44 lbs = 29lbs injectors. So if I'm going for 325-340 rwhp I should install 29lbs injectors? I'm at 278 rwhp with stock injectors now.

Go by your crank hp because that is what will be required by the fuel system. Parasitic hp loss from there doesn't really matter. It's what your engine is producing at the crank.

Your fuel pressure is more likely 50 psi.

My gut feeling would be more around a 24-26# injector.

I only go with rwhp because that is the only measurement of HP I have or will have. I'll never have the engine on a dyno, so I have to work backward to be close to crank HP. But I understand what you are saying.

46re is roughly a 25% loss; so working backwards, you're actually closer to 430 at the crank.
