I put a full set of MSD ign. wires on my Dakota, recently i posted an issue with 300 code, which means multiple miss fire, plus died and had to tow home.
I replaced all ign. components, decided to replace dist. cap with copper-bras terms. , found coil wired severely corroded at dist. plug in, used to be bad ign. wire ? I replaced wire with [copper core wire]. The stock wire is a little over 3 ft. long, I kept the regular MSD resistor wires to plugs. Wondering if any issues doing this.?? Something we did old school years ago without any issues..
Add the coil wire length and ign. wire length and were putting spark through about 6 ft. of resistor wire. Have no radio noise. Thank you again...
