Isn’t 300 just a misfire code ? Any other code pop up ?

Yes 300 codes multiple misfire, could be no fuel or spark. no other codes, truck has 40 k. with 408 with less than 10 k. First time i ran into this one.

That would be my first chk. If ok, Chk distributor and then voltage after the coil.
Acting like the old cam shaft sensor bug on earlier models.

Battery new, Groupe 27 , i replace it every other year, use same bat. in tractors also.
Been driving no issues ? Just don't trust it now. Replaced coil-dist. pick up-rotor. Had new extra stored. I'm not a parts replacer but don't want stranded..

Check your grounds cable. They act up stupid sometimes as you described.

Grounds - connectors all checked out, as a plus this truck is rust-corrosion free, kept inside, seldom sees rain. thanks for suggestion.

Could be a crank sensor, my uncle has a Dodge 1500 who chased similar issues after replacing multiple ignition parts, grounds etc. Turned out to be that.

I'm back , same issue, this time po code 306 , quit running while driving. Towed back to my shop. After cooled off it started. Could hear fuel pump running.
Had no spark when died. Only thing left is ECM ? after sitting for 2 hrs. re started.
