    Default Magnetic Deck Bridge

I made a magnetic deck bridge to check my deck height. A cursory check shows the piston in the hole by .0125. The block is going to have to be decked. I’ll do a more thorough check of all cylinders, so the machine shop knows what to do.

FWIW, the piston deck height (in the hole) is as follows:

    Bank 1:
    Cyl 1: .0125
    Cyl 7: .0115

    Bank 2:
    Cyl 2: .0115
    Cyl 8: .0105

So, from front-to-back on each side it's off by .001. And from side-to-side it's off by .001

No, that's not bad for stock. I want my deck height at zero with the new rotating assembly, so now I can tell the machine shop where the block is, so they can balance it out, and make it zero.

Yeah, I did. Those figures are the result of the mid-point.
