    12OOcfm on a 2bbl setup ?
I wonder if it would be more cost effective to find a 4bble intake and a cheaper Tb .

I'm on 4 bbl. intake M! with 4 bbl. 1200 cfm. had F@b 2 bbl., 980 cfm. gold blade, the 4-barrel TB. did make a difference. My experience r/t smile:

2bbl is an easy install. Going 4bbl you have throttle bracket and linkage issues to work out. With the MP you need to change the wiring to the TPS because it works reverse from the 2bbl. Also just bolting it up you don't get a good zero and and max. The holes need to be drilled out and slotted and you have to clock the sensor to give you a good TPS signal. Which I don't think was ever all that optimum for drivability. Worked really good when you mashed it to the floor and your doing 1/4 mile runs, but seemed pretty glitchy when driving around town. The Accel three barrel seems to work much better and moves up to 1350cfm.

All that said.. I have a 4bbl with a fabbed up linkage set up for a 4bbl manifold I would let go.

For two barrel, go with F&B.

That's what I was thinking, If I'm using a M1 2bbl (can't find a M1 4bbl) intake and I only need around 900-1000cfm to feed my 400-450 rwhp engine, why mess with the hassle and expense 4 bbl manifold and throttle body conversion. Now I understand at a certain power level, you will have step up to a 4bbl intake/TB.

Did he say if the 58s are still plagued by hanging blades?

no he didn't say anything about blades hanging up some of that was having the blades closed to far and not setting the IAC steps so the didn't swing so far and possibly a tolerance issue.

I installed a Utawesome Performance throttle body on a slightly modded 2000 RT...Cam,valvesprings,modded factory intake and tune by Marty...It works well and is a quality piece...Not sure if I'd buy another though as it had to idle a tad high for my liking.....Could idle it down more but would cause periodic stalling when coming to a stop if the base idle in park was under 850-800 RPM.....For that reason alone I'd go a different route next time...Just my .02
