Thread: Electric fan

    Default Electric fan

Did 2001 R/Ts come with electric cooling fans? My 2001 R/T has the same cooling fan as my 2003 SLT 4x4 and it also has the 40 amp fuse in the PDC.

My '00 has both electric and mechanical (stock). I think 2000 was last year for the mechanical (on the 5.9s)....?

My 2001 has an electric and mechanical fan. If the fan on/off temp can be flashed in the tune, I'm going to have the tuner set the fan on/off temp and remove the mechanical fan. I know some people just remove the mechanical fan and used the stock on/off temps for the electrical fan, but the electrical fan is a secondary fan (on low speed for A/C) and mechanical is primary. When you delete the mechanical fan and make the electrical fan the primary fan, it would be more consistent temps to reset the fan on temp from 230 on, down to like 190 on, 175 off, or something like that.
