Thread: Fuel Sync

    Default Fuel Sync

Other than using the Snap on 2500 or the Matco 4000 unit, is there any other way to read the fuel sync setting? Is there different device that can be used?

Hope someone chimes in on this. I need the same question answered.

Project Maverick. I feel the need, the need for speed

I don't think so Mike. I had to borrow an MT2500 to set mine. When I placed my distributor in, I set the #1 at TDC on the compression stroke, dropped the oil pump gear in and set it at the 11:30/5:30 position, dropped the distributor in and put the distributor cap mounting bolts at 3:15/9:15 position. My truck cranked up after about the third revolution on first start. I confirmed fuel sync at +4-6 without making any adjustments at 1000rpm.

I have to return the MT2500 but the diagnostic ability they provide is great. Will keep an eye out for a cheap one to have in the future.
