Hello,
I want to run M/T ET Street R 305/45R17 at the strip. Recommended rim is 9.5"-11.5", has anyone run them on the stock 9" rims?
Hello,

I don’t know about the “R’s”. But e.t street pro’s do work.
Tire companies can have as much as a 2-3" difference in allowable tire width/rim dimensions. Adding radials to the mix I think calls for closer jurisdiction to manufacturers recommendations.
Ironically, their next tire size up allows you to run as small as an 8.5" rim probably because of total sectional width.
The next size is a 29" tall tire hence its reduced sectional width ratio.
I'd call M/T and talk to somebody if indeed the tires you first selected fit into your Goldilocks zone
At least you'll know your tires won't "grow" anymore than 29" as you head down the track if indeed you have to end up with those.
I picked up a set of these for $200 last summer but they are 275/60-15 , which are 28.2 tall, wheel recommended 7.5-9.5, I’m gonna put them on my 10” wheels, I have my ET streets that are still new , and those are 28x13.5

I run those 305/45/17 MT's on my truck. they arent in the sig pic though those were my old tires.
let me tell u they look awesome, fit awesome, have amazing traction, are fairly light weight compared to the stock type tires, give the truck a nice wide stance from the back, and are street legal if you care about that. i run them on the streets full time.

I usually dont post pics unless I clean it first but heres a few anyways. Fronts are 26.6" diameter rear is 28.1". IMG_20210408_174935 (2).jpgIMG_20210408_115213_hdr (2).jpgIMG_20210408_115333_hdr (2).jpg

I wasnt too crazy about them actually. I switched to 4.11s and I found that at my power level and stall speed the acceleration is better all around. The stall hits harder, highway passing is better. 4.56s may be better on a heavier club cab.

You still have you Dakota ! That’s great
I have found that on radials (drag radials) or bias (slicks) run a rim that is AT LEAST the width of the tire if not slightly wider. This gives more stability on the top end.
