I just made this tool for personal use. It will be used to check the progress when notching the block for a stroker crank with big rods. You install the crank, rod, and piston, in order to see how much clearance is needed. Then you set the finger of the tool accordingly. When grinding, you just insert the tool, check your clearance, yank it out, and continue grinding, and checking, until the notch depth is obtained. This way I won't have to install the crank, rod, and piston, every time I need to check progress. Can’t wait to try it out. LOL
