Default SBE goes 10.65 at 127.5

I know it’s been a while since I’ve made a post but I’ve been working on my truck all year and finally had a chance to hit test and tune at a local track here in Maryland. The very first pass I went 10.65 at 127.5 with a 1.58 60ft still on the stock bottom end!!

    Eq heads
    M1 4bbl
    58mm tb
    230/230 114 cam
    Pte 6768
    Aem V1 stand-alone
    Stock short block

Viking hybrid coil overs up front
Mono leafs with caltrac bars and Viking

46re built by me with Cope transbrake vb and Ultimate transmission converter

    Ford 9” from quick performance
    3.70 spool
    35 spline axles

MT Et street ss 275/60 15

This may be the stock bottom end record for a Dakota but I’m not sure

That was on 12.5 pounds out of wastegate spring. I know I can do better. That 60ft was only at 3200 rpm launch. That converter will go to 4000. I need to learn how to tune the shocks tho

What shocks are they? static stall and flash stall are two different things. If your converter static stall is 4K then leaving at 4K might cause it to flash stall too high, also you won't be using the torque multiplication of the stator.
My converter is a 4K stall, but I leave at 3400 to 3600 so the flash stall is in my torque curve.

I’m using arp studs and 1008 head gaskets. My eq heads just have 2.02 valves and that’s it. I’ve never touched anything on the bottom end of the motor. It’s truly stock. It’s all about the tune. If it’s safe you’ll be fine

Using the stock cluster. The pcm really is only controlling the cluster and charging system at this point

Gotcha, I think I'm going to end up going with a Fueltech FT450, because I'll be running the stick. I presume my overhead readout (mpg and distance to empty) isn't going to be happy with that?
