Default Satin black hood & tailgate respray

Finished up some paint work recently. My tailgate had a bad dent from getting a little too close to the trailer a while back. Had the dent pulled by a shop and I finished the job painting it myself. I went with the satin black stripe on it too, inspired by somebody here I forget who.

Also refinished my Shaker hood in the satin, lucked out with only a few bugs lol.

Wish I had time to do everything in between these two panels lol..

Thanks guys, I'm certainly pleased with the results. I'm debating what color I should paint the scoop now, or if I should leave it be.

Here are a few pics from yesterday getting the hood back on

Looks great! And, the engine going back in so soon is a surprise. At least it seems like it was quick...

Thanks! Been moving as quickly as I can to geturrdunn. Still far shy of where I was anticipating on this project, but that's usually what happens.

If I remember right I think it was the Twisted truck out of Indiana that had the black tailgate. Looks good anyway.

Beautiful work, it's obvious you put a lot of effort into it!

Wow, that tailgate treatment is really cool, do you have a pic from about 10' back with the truck all put back together,

    Nice painting job.
There's really only one other color you can paint the scoop and you know what color that would be. Or you can go the opposite and keep it black only gloss it.
Lay a few strips of red duct tape on it, stand back and "squint" and see how you like it before you commit to a full paint job.

Thanks, yeah I do have plans for it. Might go with carbon fiber wrap. Body color would look good too or I was thinking of matching it to the granite crystal metallic I painted the engine bay with.
