    Default Maxport head update

They were well worth the wait, I bought a set of Maxport heads from PIE ,, took a while to get them, he had to wait on valves from manufacturer .
I figured I'd give an update,, I was skeptical , disassembled the heads and inspected very close, their impeccable, first class workmanship .

My motor now is a 408 with iron RHS iron heads -cam 222 - 226,,, comp. ratio 10-1, new motor is [4.250 stroke] stock bore ,,, 11.9 comp. ratio , cam 247-255 and .615 lift aluminum maxport heads, no way to compare.

The only way to get a better flowing head is to go to W-5 to W-9 or Edelbrock Victor ,, then there's an issue with Ac and Ps.- valve train and intake-headers,, which requires a ton of fab work was what I found.. Just my opinion...
At this point is better to go to a Hellcat crate engine and mega $$$$$...

Post up some pics! Let's see those things! Those heads use the offset rockers and have the pushrod pinch welded and re drilled correct?

310 is a good flowing head. And your right. Lots of headaches swapping over to w-line of heads or victors. Just depends how far you wanna go.

Look at Hughes head web site at there big mouth, shows ports.. Yes offset rockers..

Plus this motor has 6.2 rod length, 2 in. journals, and am doing internal balance on crank. A lot of work going to 4.250 in. stroke. About as far as I'm willing to go on this build.
Just too many $$$ to upgrade to Hellcat crate motor and trans.
