Gotta stay in it! Unless you're a bracket racer.

My guess is that it would have been 94-95 mph.

    Please explain.
Are the two time slips representative of the runs with each head?
Both slips are dated the same, roughly two hours apart. Did you change heads in that two hours?

the slip fromthe first post was my first time at the track...the second post with two slips are my runs after the head swap.

    Your truck slowed down slightly.
I took at look at the conditions, and they were basically identical.

Did your new EQs have larger valves in them or have any port work done to them?

if not, there wouldn’t be any reason to expect it to be faster.

It’s been shown that these engines like a cooler operating temperature generally.
Is it possible that the 14.6 time slip was run with the engine at a cooler temp?

It could also be something as simple as the fuel sync not being back in the exact same place after the work that was performed.

looks like traction could be an issue. 60ft is down. Hard to tell if its down on power bc you lifted to early on the first slips.

With better heads and possibly better October air, you should have been considerably faster.
We live for October/November here, then it's too cold.

If you have a scanner and can see what the sync number is - you can also then experiment with this some to figure out where it makes the best power. Go make a pass down the track. Wherever it is now - move it to -2 from there and make a pass down the track. If it improves the mph - move it -2 more and try again. If it slows down, go back to +2 from the original setting and try again. If the mph numbers never change - then the issue is not sync.

Experimentation is half the fun - and sometimes produces positive results!

That 2.2 60ft says street tires to me. Id say with a decent slick you could shave that down to a 1.8-9 and thats a BUNCH of ET right there!
