Default CC, DA, Drag Truck Build

So I guess ill start one of these as I have been in the process of gathering parts and kinda building for 2 years now. But here is some info and I will try to upload some photos later. Currently waiting on a Pole Barn to be built so I can really get to work on it.

Truck- 99 Dakota, CC, Dark Amethyst

Motor- 365, Scat Forged Crank, Huges Girdle with Main Studs, Custom Wiesco -20cc Dished Piston with Anodizing, Custom Grind Billet Cam from Lunati Cams .610 Lift, Eddy Aluminum Heads 290-300CFM flow, Ported M1 4bbl Blue Printed to heads, Bullet Solid Roller Lifters, Hartland Sharp 1.6 Roller Rockers, Wilson Manifold Nitrous/Burst plate, Billet -8AN Fuel Rails, Dual forward facing Headers to T4 Flange, BW S475 Billet Wheel, 60MM Waste Gate, And maybe some other odd ends I'm forgetting

Suspension- DJM Lower control arms, Unknown Brand Tubular Uppers, Caltracks with Mono Leafs and Leaf Sliders.

Other info- 20gal Fuel Cell, Magna Flow Tuner 750 Fuel Pump, -8 Fuel feed Line, 10P Roll Cage, Jegs Bucket seats Black Leather, Full MSD Ignition.

Transmission- Fully billet Trans from SunCoast Diesel Transmissions. Has Billet input, Billet Drum, 47re Carbon clutches with Billet stators, Custom Billet Manual Reverse VB with Trans Brake, Up graded OD Clutches, and Billet output shaft.

There are prob way more things I'm forgetting but I figure this will suffice for a start to the thread. I hope after I get my Barn Built I will have way more progress and pictures to post up.

I basically have the thing gutted. Getting the time to put the Cage in is a bit difficult when i don't have a place to put it and it keeps raining all the time I'm free to work on it.

You have no idea how much I have had people tell me that exact statement. Every time I walk into the Heart Doc office, I'm hands down the youngest in there by like 20 years lol. It has been a hard adjustment the last few years. Some days are better than others and thats when I get to work on the truck.

P.S you have a very beautiful looking truck. I want to get my paint redone and put a few coats of clear on top of it so it looks super deep.

well ik its been a little bit but i finally got some work done and was able to time the CAM and get the engine kinda together. I am waiting on some push-rods and a set of new head gaskets for it. Then I should be set to button up the motor and get to work on the chassis of the truck. Still waiting on them to build my Pole Barn but im trying to get some things done.

I will be getting a Photo bucket account to share photos here as this forum apparently has shit as hosting and wont let me upload a photo that is more than 16kb now. So there is that.

Thanks! It all came about after getting T-boned at an intersection. Totaled, bought back, rebuilt with some extra custom touches from the insurance money. IIRC, it has 5 coats of clear, then wet sanded/buffed to a mirror finish.

Hell yeah. I want to do that with mine. Pictures do not do justice to a paint job like that
