I agree with you lol, that's why my 360 is in another truck now and I sold all my Magnum stuff.

I was too deep into the magnum before the Hemi thing was a viable option like it is now. A good set of ported Eddys or EQ's and call it a day. make what you make on them and run the shit out the truck. IMO anything over that on a set of heads is a waste of money. Most the ET on these trucks come from having a good suspension and knowing how to get the weight to transfer to the back without just adding weight to the back.

    and some boost.
I have the 5.7 hemi in my Durango and you know what I hate about that thing? Giving it a tune up. 16 plugs and the coil packs in the back of the engine which is encroached by the passenger compartment so they could disguise the thing being a 4 wheel drive mini van w/o the sliders.

I guess I'm still a fan of a stroked 440 in these things. Simple old school shit 512 cu in and over 670 hp with Eddies, aluminum intake and water pump and it'll weigh the same as the total iron 360.

Fuck all this shit, I'm too fucking old now and no more patience. Super charger when I get $6K of discretionary income built up. That gets me to $10K.

Mine will be going quite a bit farther than what a Magnum block would handle, so when you start having to look at trying to find and then buying a suitable R3 then comparable heads on top of that the HEMI, especially the truck 6.4, makes way more sense.

But I’m not into the hemi stuff
    Will a 727 or a 46re go behind a 6.4?

I do know the 727's were behind the original 392 hemi's in the Road Runners/Chargers in the 60's.. With adapters for flex plates/bellhousings, just about anything can bolt to anything else these days. I even know a guy who put a Ford tranny behind his Mopar

All ik about it is that the Eagle is the one you at least want. Pre Eagle stuff is supposed to be junk or not as good.

Yeah, same bolt pattern, just need the proper flexplate:

There are plenty of others out there including SFI versions.

It depends. Hellcat and 6.4 truck (ake BGE or Big Gas Engine) blocks are the strongest factory blocks and the '18+ Scat Pack/SRT 6.4s allegedly share the same block as well. Hellcat intake bolt pattern is different the what all the other heads use, but it does have increased webbing and a different material than the standard 5.7/6.1/6.4 heads. However, the 6.4 BGE head is the same material and has the extra webbing as the Hellcat with the standard intake pattern of the non-Hellcat engines, just has a different exhaust valve and some other minor differences. 6.4 crank is the same forged part number for both car and truck models and is fine for 1300-ish, but the connecting rods and pistons are the problem and need to be replaced with a set of drop-ins. The downside of the BGE is the intake isn't as good as the car intake and uses a different, less supported accessory and front cover setup though everything can be converted over. There is only one aftermarket block at the moment, but it's 6.1L based so it has to use the older style front cover etc. It has been kicking a lot of ass in X275 in Rob Goss's Challenger, though.

Eagle is the '09+ 5.7L head, Apache is the 6.4 SRT/Scat Pack head, and BGE is the 6.4 truck head.

    BGE > Apache > Eagle

How is it I have had Nothing but good experiences with Chris? Both my 408’s where tuned by him and my 429 was built by him. Never an issue. Plus my brother supercharged srt-10 ram was tuned by him. All in person on his dyno. Stand up guy. Just posting my experiences. And he built a 331 stroker 302 based for my fiancée’s father no issues. So.... this isn’t I heard type stuff. This is personal experiences.

Because you can actually go in person, pretty much everyone that has an issue is remote.

I also didnt state everyone. I just said countless people have. And i would be willing to second the reason you haven't been screwed over is because you can go in person to his shop. I think you and 1 other person are the only people i have hurd not have issues. There are many many stories out there of guys getting the shaft from them and I would never recommend going to him. but to each his own. Its now up to OP to do what he wants with his money
