I put these panels in on my 95 DaK. Your vehicle will probably not be a street conveyance but where the weld bead was on mine, rusted like anything right through to the outside. I should have coated it with a rust preventative and then applied Chassis Guard (like POR) and painted that over instead of just spraying primer on it.

I really do feel for you guys dealing with rust, we have none zero, zip, nada up here. Like I've said when we make ornamental gates we have to chemically "Make" rust. The underside of my 1998 and 2001 Rams are just dusty. And my Dakota RT is rust proofed with rubber...How did that happen?

Floor boards gonna scratch, I rolled on Gray Herculinar and sprayed it with Red Rustoleum, left everything else smooth. Perfect.

Shooting to have the chassis jig done this week.
This weekend I have a motor and trans setting in a 49 f100
I can see so much weight that can be removed
And all that wire shit...Hello over 60 lbs gone.
Power Brakes. Gone.
Power steering. Gone.

No doubt front crossmember is gone. power brakes and steering are both are already in the works of being replaced.
Glad you chimed. I have not looked into the wiring nest yet. How much can I pull out and keep the lights and switches happy. Did you gut it all and get a 'painless' system?
Funny how my truck is missing that cross member,
previous owners must have done that and i just noticed because one of my rack bushings is gone. Did a good job i don't even see were it was
