In time niebs, in time. You keeping the truck black?
What is the plan to tuck the front wheels, with the stock frame?
"Excuse me if I have some place in my mind, where I go time to time"
Most likely. At least for a while.
Have not decided on the front yet. Either convert to 5x4.5 or 5x4.75. I'll fabricate a new front suspension to get the ride height correct. I need to try and keep the front rails stock to stay in some non tube chassis classes.
That’s looking sweet dude ! Shit I might send you my truck !
She's gonna look wicked for sure! Stick with it. Us Ol'farts are living thru you vicariously!

Need to get the plans for that fab table from you. Would not mind paying you a bit for them as well. Or have you build me one

The tubing benders are fairly cheap when you consider the cost of each die set. I use the JD2 model 32 with a hydraulic cylinder. The die’s will cost way more than the bender itself if you do a variety of tubing sizes. JD2 doesn’t seem to have sales on their tubing benders unfortunately.
Nice little frame jig you made. Just a thought, but you might want to place it on pavement so the legs don’t sink into the ground at different rates, thereby possibly cocking the frame a bit. You might also place some jack stands beneath the jig once the level is set for safety. I’m not sure what thread size the feet are, but they are fairly long, and may not take a side load as well as the downforce, should it get bumped by accident.
Yup. the dies are the killer on the prices. Im still waiting to here back on the Hossfeld. But if it doesnt work out then ill be ordering a JD2 32.
The pic of the jig on the grass was just to sure how much adjustability there is in the legs and its the only spot to get a decent pic
Its on my concrete driveway now and the legs are nearly as short as possible. Leg adjusters are fine thread hardened 0.625" with 1.25" thread engagement. I plan to step the size up on the units for customers.
I will def let you know. Right now Im working on setting up this new 20'x20' Pole barn for my project lol. Want to put a 2 post lift in there and on the other side do a Fab station with a mezz for storage. Should look something like 13' on one side for the 2 post and just over 6' on the other side for Fab stuff and the storage mezz. Pics will be getting add to my Dakota build when the work starts.

niebs, I assume you are aware of the tv show "Gearz". The guy has a segment on back yard builds and he gives away metal working tools to the ones he thinks are most tv worthy. I'm thinking yours could be a candidate for this. Might be a chance to get a nice brake or cutter. Nothing to lose. I can snoop down the address if you're interested.
