This is not as bad as it seems. Did this fix on a 95 Dakota. First I pulled everything together. Grooved it a bit and ran a 7018 bead into the grooves. I then cut two plates of 3/16th plate to fit both the back and front of the chassis channel to span the crack with a 4" overlap. I tacked these in place. I then drilled them and bolted through with three 3/8" bolts. Then stitch welded these plates. It was the strongest part of the truck.
Yeah, true, fixable for sure. But a good excuse to cut it all out and build a back half and cage .
So pretty much everything from the cab back will be available soon-ish haha.
That would have been a disaster on the road.

Does that back half have disk brake conversion? Seems to be a discontinued item I've been looking for
Shoot me a price in messages. i really don't need the whole thing but for the rite price i might find a place to store it. Ok i looked at your old post in brakes its an 03 rear end

Made a big step today. Picked up 90% of my backhalf
Full floater Dana 60. 4 link. 4.56 with spool. and some meaty 33x16 hoosiers.
Bad ass, are you gonna narrow the frame right behind the cab ?
When i did mine i cut the straight section behind the first box mount so box could be located in the same spot and made the rest of the box mounts
I remember S&W had a really nice 4 link kit for an S-10 for about $1500 , Ive always wanted to do this to mine
I'd buy the pre bent rails to make it easier also, believe there's a 2x4 mandrel bent kit for that. Competition Engineering 4-Link Rear Frame 24" Wide. i'm sure your all over this stuff lol :r man the rear end is sexy

Are the two tubes in the back of the truck the foundation for the rear frame?
