Talking New to the Dakota Family!

    Hello,

I recently got my hands on my father in laws Dodge Dakota 5.9 Magnum R/T that was sitting in his backyard for about roughly 7 years (Lucky me ! ) back in December.

I have been slowly been trying to bring her back to LIFE!! I am glad to be part of this social circle, my past few car's have been foreign and this is my first American car.

I am the second owner and she only has 54K Miles CLEAN TITLE. Below i'll post some pics of her but im really excited to start doing to some mod's. Been trying to find some parts but it has been a pain in the rear to try and find things.

    Enjoy!

I will be most likely be asking a lot of questions for parts so prepare! haha

    I appreciate it!!

That's incredibly low miles amazing! Welcome to
Best of luck with it, you'll still find a wealth of information here and the occasional parts listed for sale...but do we really have to refer to you as moist?

Lol sure thing moist! You have good taste, that bumper would be a Stillen bumper cover, it's urethane and wraps over the oem bumper to install. Pretty straight forward install. However I just had trouble finding it, but the street scene cover is also pretty similar heres a link

My bad i'm not sure what patina means haha. Only mod that i've done is changed the factory speakers and installed kenwood's all around and a 10' pioneer kicker being pushed by an old amp I had lol

Referring to the weathered paint, the clearcoat is all faded. Sometimes a select breed of classic auto enthusiasts, actually tend to prefer this look over shiny new paint, and even go to lengths as far as to fake patina, by painting rust and layers of "old" faded paint

Got it! Thanks for letting me know!

I am honestly thinking about repainting it to factory colors again but still in the search of a body shop that will do it correctly

    Thank you @evilrt!
