Believe he said the same thing on two different transmissions. Would tend to think, a cable or linkage issue. Damaged wiring/ connector possible.

The linkage from there connects to the tv valve within the valve body. I would first disconnect the tv cable at the trans linkage, and see if the linkage going into the case then moves freely. If it does, then you may have the tv cable set too tight at the throttle body. Otherwise, the problem may be within the pan connecting to the valve body.

gonna try disconnect and see if it moves freely.

Otherwise, the problem may be within the pan connecting to the valve body--Would this have been replaced/addressed on a rebuild?

It’s hard to tell but I didn’t think I saw the tv bracket. The bigger bracket that has to be installed first is for your shifter position and the smaller bracket that goes on is for the tv

I keep watching the video. It really looks like your missing the tv bracket and the tv cable is bolted on the selector bracket

I think Cregger is onto something. I thought the TV bracket looked a little large, and after watching the vid again, it looks like there is nothing hooked up to the TV shaft. But I wondered how is he shifting if the shift linkage isn't hooked up properly? I didn't think it was possible to hook up both the TV cable and shift lever to the same bracket. But again, I don't see any bracket or cable hooked up to the TV shaft. Do you have a better pic of that area?

I can do it now. Im off today.
in that pic where the gear selector lever and the tv lever connect are those two seperate levers that move independently of each other?

they are most def connected to the same bracket. But in that pic in the posts above it looks like that's the normal way?

Awesome! Find yourself a local trans shop. Maybe they’ll have something laying around. I don’t think your selector bracket is incorrect I just think they modified it to put the TV cable on it so all you really need is the TV cable bracket

Maybe the person that took it apart, wasn't who reassembled?
Maybe it had been apart for awhile & they couldn't remember how to reassemble?
Maybe it was a dumb _uck?

    All I've got.

I remember my friend had an Iroc Z Camaro , he went to the track and disconnected the Tv cable so the trans wouldn’t shift out, forgot about it and drove home (about 2 miles) and it burned the trans out cause the Tv cable was off, could this also happen in the 46re ?

well my cable hasn’t been connected in years and it took that long to burn up a 200,000 mile tranny...
