Default Hood wont shut after installing a throttle body spacer and k and n cold air

So I just installed a k and n cold air and also have a throttle body spacer. Problem is now my hood doesn't close because it hits the top of my intake above the throttle body. I removed the liner under the hood and gained a little space. I can force the hood shut but that obviously isn't practical nor do I want to leave it like that. Anyone have any suggestions? I could cut out some of the bracing under the hood but I really dont want to start hacking at shit until I know the best option.

Take out the spacer as it does nothing for performance anyway.

I'm that's my best option at this point. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions on TB spacers.

There are no mixed opinions, they are useless other than lessening the amount of money in your pocket..

Remove the spacer. Only way it will add power is if has a bar in it that sprays a little go juice.

Agreed. That spacer adds so little volume to the intake tract that it won’t be useful from that aspect. There’s no fuel in it to worry about insulating it from the intake to prevent fuel boil.

Useless unless you’re using it to plumb your nitrous system.

Combine the above with the fact that once the air enters the kegger it has to make a 90* turn to make it into the intake port (allegedly creating a venturi effect) negates their only other reasoning for being of any use at all.
