Sorry for a question I should be able to find myself, I'm looking, but in a time crunch:
What's the most weight I can put in the bed of my regular cab '00 R/T (totally stock truck)?
I had a metal frame table in my other truck (800-1000lbs we estimate), and the fuel pump died on me half way to the paint shop. I'm having a shop fix that truck, but need to get this metal frame to paint shop asap/today.
My F150 was leveled out, if not sagged a touch with it in the bed ('01 RCSB 2wd). Feel like I might be fully compressing the suspension with that much weight in the dakota. Need to get about 20miles down a smooth road.... I know it has the umph, just not sure about bed payload. Some of the numbers I'm seeing look to put it in the 1200lb range, but again I'm not sure, and just looking for some quick community support/help. Will rent a truck otherwise.
Graci
edit - no more time crunch, renting truck. But - still interested if anyone knows.
