    Default Reverse Lights- Fixed

I recently installed a back up camera and discovered my reverse lights did not work causing the camera not to work.

Decided to take a look at the neutral/reverse light switch on the drivers side of the tranny.

I discovered that 2 out of the 3 wires were broken off the connector at the connector so I had no room to splice new wire (image below).

I disassembled the connector and rebuilt it as I could not find one in stock at my local parts stores.

So far it works and I replaced the switch since it has a small leak around the gasket which probably ate through the wiring over many years.

Thanks all. I enjoy this type of troubleshooting. Im a licensed aircraft mechanic by trade (started back in 1992) and always enjoyed troubleshooting. Although I no longer turn wrenches on airplanes (because I'm management now) I still get my mechanic fix on my RT. Wiring has always been my niche but I specialized in turbine jet engines.

Good job! By the way, where did you get your back up camera?
