Cool Saying hey from chicago - new to the forum

Hey everybody just finally joined the forum after snooping around for a while.. Hopefully i won’t be shunned as i’m actaully the owner of a 5.9 ZJ.. just got done with a tedious t56 swap early this summer and next on the list is to crack open that engine. There seems to be a lot more good info on 5.9 performance here than on any jeep forum so here i am! Lol. Just wanted to say whats up to all of you..

Thank you! The agenda for this one is pretty much the hottest top end i can put on the stock bottom end. Probably going to end up getting a core 5.9 this winter for a possible stroker/high compression build. Then again i still haven’t really decided weather or not i’m up for the challenge of a boosted setup... theres a lot less real estate in a ZJ than a dak lol. But man it’d be sweet having a 6 speed 4x4 with boost..

Well just contacted my friend mitch from topgear motorworks here in chicago and he’s willing to help me fab up a header setup. He made me my custom stainless y-pipe and does great work. We’re kind of thinking we could nestle a turbo where the battery lives. We came to the conclusion that turbos usually provide the most smiles lol so it’s some serious food for thought.. can’t decide at the moment.
