Now available from HiPoTek is the tubular transmission crossmember for use with the Viper T56 manual transmission.

I was waiting for you to comment on the upper arms Dave. lol
I purchased a fixturing table but lack room to put it where I need it due to the amount of equipment in the rear shop. So I have been clearing room in the front garage to move the metal cutting and forming operation there. I picked up an air compressor for the front garage and am in the process of wiring the garage for 110 and 220. Nevertheless, it is slowly coming along.

Does this save much weight over the stock unit?

The stock transmission crossmember weighs 13# and the stock mount and adapter plate weighs 5#. The tubular crossmember for the 46RE weighs 7.5#, the heavy duty 727 mount weighs 2#, and the mount adapter plate weighs 1.75#. So that’s 11.25 # compared to the stock weight of 18#.

The one for the viper trans is probably lighter still but I didn't weigh it so I'm not sure of the weight. The Viper crossmember doesn't use the mount adapter plate (1.75#) and the Viper mount weighs 1.7# so that may be about 2# lighter still.

Curious if you could use this with a TKO potentially, might only need an offset adapter plate to get it to work

Without mocking up, I have no idea of the positioning of that trans, which trans mount is used, or how it times out with the crossmember.
