Question Hemi Crate from Mopar question

I'm pretty sure I know the answer but wanted to post it anyways. Maybe generate some convos.

As most of yall know you can get a Hemi crate motor right from Mopar: https://www.mopar.com/content/dam/mo...ne_Catalog.pdf

Looks to me like you can order everything you need to make it work if you add in the Engine Kit, FEAD basics kit, a/c expansion kit, etc.

Would this be an easier alternative in our Dakotas vs hacking something together from a junkyard? I'm referring to the 5.7L.

Easier? yes most likely, if you order everything you need.
Price efficient tho? I doubt it. I those kits are pretty expensive. I would rather grab a long block from a known builder, then pickup a holly efi with the plug and play harness. Find a junk chassis on craigslist or such for the everything else.

While I’m sure some would love to cobble some used junkyard shit together,at the end of the day,I would do the new and know exactly what I have.

I’ve spent shit tons of money trying to reinvent the wheel as it were, and would much rather have a proven base combo to start with.

I agree. Sometimes paying for something that is easier to install, could be worth it. It all depends on what you want.
