    Default 4x4 fan shroud?

    Hey guys,

Picked up my latest R/T about a month ago. Obviously I noticed this before I bought it but any ideas as to why the previous owner would have installed this fan shroud? I've been out of the game for a long time and might have missed this particular mod or purpose of it. Also there is a Helix power tower TB spacer installed. I know those are junk but it does make a cool whistle sound.

Perhaps he thought it ran cooler? And throttle body spacer made more power?
Replace them with original parts , toss the spacer,
    Welcome back

I think the previous fanshroud broke and he replaced it with a 4x4 fanshroud . the 4x4 fanshroud is much easier to find than the 2wd fanshroud . but they have both the same dimensions . i am looking now for 2 years for a 2wd fanshroud as they are hard to find and i believe they are also discontinued.

    ha!

Ok next question. I'm still digging through this truck finding stuff the previous owner did. She was not well taken care of..

So what filter is this? I'm guessing crankcase ventilation?
