    Default Ignition switch Replacement

Got my truck back after it was stolen. The ignition switch was popped out with a flat head screwdriver so I’m guessing I should replace both peace’s. Not sure what the names of the parts are but from what I googled it looks like a key cylinder and a ignition switch?

My original key still works fine with the original ignition key cylinder so I’m hoping it’s reusable just to keep the original keys.

I guess my main question is do I half to do any programming or key programming?

    Thanks guys

Glad you got your truck back ,If everything goes back together keep the cylinder lock or you will need 2 keys , but it depends on the condition of the cylinder lock , as far as programming I have 3 dakotas
2000 rt 98 rt and 2000 4x4 and none has programmable keys

I’m taking it apart today and just gonna put all new parts and just deal with having two keys.
