Default Upper Control Arm Bushing and Header Heat

Searched for this topic with no results, so I am wondering what everyone is doing to protect the rear upper control arm bushings from header/exhaust heat? Other than Jet Hot Coating the headers(Mine are Cerakoted), or doing the "eye-rolling" header wrap(I'd never do this), is there something that has already been made?

Hey Corey, I used the heat shields off my stock manifolds to cut down. I then drilled and riveted them to the plastic inner fender. I don't know how much they really helped, but that's what I did. You most likely don't have the old shields.

Care to share any pictures of this? You are right, I do not have the original manifolds nor their heat shields. I have an idea of what I can do. Thanks.

I'll have to go down to the "Cave" and get some pics. But, "Baby it's cold outside"! LOL

I made a heat shield that attached to the upper control arm from some sheet metal.
