Thread: New best with the new engine

Default New best with the new engine

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdju...ature=youtu.be

First run on the new set up.
    I went 10.80 @119mph.
Had to lift at 1200ft. It laid over in high gear. Too lean I think.
Have to check the plugs and add some jets.
    It had a 1.42 60ft and a 6.77 @99mph in the 1/8 mile.
Some race gas and larger primary tube headers are next.

Don't know what you're using as far as tubes but I'd try lengthening the collector or secondary first. Actually, I'd re-jet first then mess with headers.

Too late anyway lol, headers are already on their way... Besides, Magnums usually tend to like a little bigger primary than you'd think anyway.

Headers may not be needed right now but got a good deal from Jim so I bought them for 408 I'm building now. Plus they are shinier than the ones I have now. :-)
I'm pretty sure some jet will take care of the issue.

Wheels off the ground at the 10 second video mark. Nice!!!

Isn't it cold this time of year in your area?

    Thanks man.
    It was 50 degrees.
Not like out there in Cali.
I'm probably done making runs for the year.
    Stay safe out there.

    Hahaha.
I have never messed with that funny stuff.
It's a bracket raced truck so not too concerned about going that fast.
Hell. I'm not legal to run 10's. No roll bar. I will have to slow it back down for my weekly races.
It would be neat to see a 9 second pass though.

The DA Viking are bad ass!!! I will never buy a QA1 again. I need to tighten the compression some.
