    Default HS 1.7 Roller Rockers

    Looking to trade my Harland Sharp Non-adjustable 1.7 for the same non-adjustable 1.6 roller rockers.

    360 Swapped, FRP Tuned, 2.02 EQ Heads, 210XP cam, HS 1.7 RR's, Fastman 52mm TB, Mopar 2bbl M1, Mopar/PPH Headers, 2.5" True Dual, X-Pipe, Hooker AeroChambers, Hi Flow Cats, MSD Coil, Cloyes Double Roller Chain, JGC fan, 180F T-stat, Mopar Valve covers, K&N FIPK, PATC 2800 Stall, Martin Saine VB, Mildly built trans, 4.10 gears.
    249 HP/322 TQ FRP Tune (Old build. New build TBD)

    I believe the 1.7's are too harsh on the valve train. I broke another valve spring last week.

    My cam is meant to be run with 1.6 rockers. So with less lift I'm hoping it be less straining on the springs.

    Changing the rockers are easier than the cam. This could be the makings for an interesting “camshaft lift, lobe separation angle, rocker arm choice” explanation learning thread.

    Couple things can cause valve springs to break, how old are they? what is coil bind" what is your lift at valve? rpm range you turn the engine.
    Also it is impossible to produce perfect springs every time, sometimes you just get a bad batch, valve spring companies do not like to admit this.
