Buy good quality bulbs and put them in.
Buy from somebody that knows about LED.
There are some junky ones out there that don't work that well, and others of better quality that are plug and play.
I have a guy here in Hamilton, that is really good, and I deal with him with no issues.

If it is a 2001 and newer, you will need load resistor for each bulb, or you will get hyper flashing. I believe the 97-00 trucks can use a simple led flasher to prevent hyper flash. If you have to do the load resistors, make sure to mount them on a metal surface, as they get really warm.

All my exterior led bulbs came from superbrightleds.

I read somewhere that adding load resistors can help eliminate the warning lights on the dash.
