I already have an M1 2bbl intake on my 5.9 but I've been thinking about doing a different kind of porting job on my stock kegger. The idea is to mill out the divider walls in the middle of each paired port to about an inch before the end of the manifold at which point I'd knife-edge it to blend into each intake port in the head. I'd then weld up the cut in the runners to seal them up. This would basically double the port volume (and yes I realize there would be a velocity loss) but I think the volume wouldn't be much different than the huge tall ports in the M1.
Flame suit on - thoughts?
