Thread: E-fan thermostat sending unit location

    Default E-fan thermostat sending unit location

    I mounted my sending unit into the plugged hole near the thermostat housing on my M1 intake. Is this where it should be or is there another place to mount it?

    Here ya go. The front sensor trips the fans. The sensor behind the larger one is my Autometer gauge sensor. Hope this helps.

    Placement isn't that critical. Anywhere the sensor is in water is all you need

    Isn't that larger port where the ECT sensor's supposed to be?

    Looking at my M1, I have a few choices. I am running the stock gauges in the cluster, nothing additional planned.

    Just so we understand each other... the sensor is to trigger the fan on/off. No extra gauges.

    Yes that is true. I just added I am not running any additional gauges like he is, so I have a few choices of which treaded hole to choose, and will cap off the remaining on my M1.
