    Default Damaged Edelbrock Head Castings

I'm looking for a damaged beyond repair Edelbrock cylinder head casting, either 61779 or 61775 for developmental work.

If you have one that is trashed and want to get rid of it please let me know.

    Thanks, Richard

I’d like to cut them up a bit to see just how far I can go in specific areas Mike. And basically for all-around test purposes.

    A little bit of history:

I've always had a passion for head porting.

Incidentally, when I was in my twenties, I used to play with small block Ford’s, most notable the 289 and 302 engines. Back then they didn’t have all these aftermarket and aluminum heads. I used to take the larger port and valve 351 head, and port them for use on the 289/302 engines. I’d then take the heads to Sam Gianino’s shop in Royal Oak Michigan to get larger Chevy valves installed along with a valve job. Sam has long since retired though but was a contender back in the day.

I used to have my block’s machined at Wally Booth’s in Berkley Michigan. He also did the block in my Dakota. The speed of racing has increased in the years since but these guys were tearin’ it up at that time.

Steve at Total Flow Products in Troy Michigan doesn’t seem to think much of big flow numbers since they don’t necessarily mean the best power. He uses the flow bench to test improvements or not from a baseline. He offered to let me use his flow bench but I’d rather have my own on site for immediate gratification.

How about now? Certainly someone has destroyed a head or two?
