Thread: Header bolt size

  1. #1

    Default Header bolt size

I'm ready to bolt on my headers now but it looks like the ARP bolts I used for my Eddy shorties are not going to be long enough to work for my PPH mids with Remflex gaskets. Anybody know what length I need? The ones I have now are 3/4". I'm guessing 1" would be right?

    That’s what I said!

PPH Headers have a 3/8” flange.

It's a race to the finish! East VS West, White truck VS White truck! Which one will win the ultimate challenge?! The challenge of a running/driving R/T! (using the late, great Howard Cosell's voice)

Got ARP 612-1000. Flange is a little wider but they still work fine. Now when the snow melts I'll get them bolted up.

No snow where I am (94580), so I might beat you getting my header bolts on.

From my experience over the years, I always use a 12 point bolts on the headers.
It's way easier to tighten down in tight spots.
