Default Wheel Adapter Math. Does this seem correct?

I bought a set of first gen 3 spoke Viper wheels and am trying to figure out the correct wheel adapter size.

Current 17x9 RT wheels have +25mm offset (6" backspacing)

Front Viper wheels are 17x10 and have +51mm offset (7.51" backspacing)

Rear Viper wheels are 17x13 and have +71mm off set (9.8" backspacing)

    Does this mean I need a 1 1/2" adapter for the front (7.51 - 6 = 1.51") and approx 3 1/2" to 4" adapter for the rear (9.8 - 6 = 3.8")?

I am new to this wheel adapter thing and thought this would be how they are calculated.

    Thanks for any advice.

    Default

After some further reading, it seems that most people running 13" wide rear viper wheels ditched their leaf springs. Otherwise the wheels would stick out beyond the flares and look goofy. I will keep reading....
