    What brand of bearings would you go with, Koyo or Timken?

    Never had a problem with Timken bearings.

    Really depends - look at the actual bearing and where its made. I usually use Timken and haven't had an issue, most have been made in Japan

    There's other brands too that might be the same actual bearing. I forgot what another brand I bought was, but was also made in Japan
